Friday Fun + Food for Thought
It's hard to believe it is already July. I hope your week was a good one. Did you hear the news about the 'unlikely ballerina' Misty Copeland becoming the first African American principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre? I can't stop reading interviews and learning more about her story. She's an inspiration to us all!
What are your July 4th plans? We are going to a neighborhood parade and playing outside as much as possible. I'll also be gathering ideas for Remy's birthday party that is next weekend! I can hardly believe he'll be 3 in a few days. Last year on his actual birthday, we made pancakes for breakfast, and then I snuck balloons in over his crib during nap-time...
I'm planning to do the same again this year! I like the idea of making these our birthday traditions. Do you have anything special you do for your little ones on their birthdays?
Food for Thought to Explore over the Weekend: My favorite interview about Copeland, her upbringing & how she got to where she is as a dancer.

The sweetest story of childhood sweethearts married for 75 years who died in each other's arms.
This made me think twice about why I post on social media.
And, finally, everything you wanted to know about gardening in the form of diagrams.
Enjoy the weekend, Holly
