Friday Favorites

Happy New Year!  We've had a whirlwind of a holiday season traveling the roads of Alabama and Tennessee.  Little R got his first fever on Christmas so we kept things low key.  Thankfully, it didn't last long!  He officially started solid foods, and his favorites are listed below.  As for me, I've enjoyed a few weeks out of the office to spend time with our sweet family and friends.  I'm excited to be back refreshed and ready for the new year.  I always take the first month of a new year to reevaluate what worked in the past year (for both work and family life) and what areas can be structured a little differently.  One thing I did set up from the start was our work/play space area.  It is coming along, and I'll have photos to show in the upcoming weeks once it's all put together.  I also have a few new projects underway including the preparation to teach my first childbirth class!  I cannot wait to share in more detail once all my training is finished.  It's going to be a great outlet for me to share my passion for childbirth since it is harder to attend births as a doula during this season of life.  More on all of that later.  It's time for our holiday favorites... For Little R (24&25 weeks)… sitting up on his own getting a B. Zany Zoo Activity Cube for Christmas eating solids!  his first foods were: avocado, banana, sweet potato, & rice cereal (in the order, all homemade)  giggling and smiling...a lot;)

For myself… reading The Meaning of Marriage aloud with Greg while on the road sharing this bottle of champagne with our best friends to ring in the new year getting a new bedspread as a merry christmas to us! enjoying little R's giggles and smile...a lot;)

For all the mamas & mamas-to-be… using Wholesome Homemade Baby Food as a great resource for solids listening to Coal Train Railroad with kiddos of all ages gifting Green Toys for Christmas and birthdays

And a photo from Christmas day with my sweet (but sick) doodlebug...

Enjoy the weekend! xoxo.....*holly.
