Friday Favorites

mardi gras 1900s, maison everett blogAny plans for the weekend?  It's Mardi Gras time for us!  That image is from New Orleans Mardi Gras in the early 1900s. Isn't it incredible? We're hoping to get in a few parades with little R for his first carnival experience.  Although he can't quite yell, "throw me something, mister!" I still think it'll be fun to walk around and see the colors and hear the noise.  I'll let you know how it goes;)  In other news, I taught my first childbirth class this week. It went really great, and I hope to have a group class scheduled for March or early April.  If you are interested please email me for details.  Now on to our Friday Favorites...

For little R… (7 months) loving quinoa, kale, and egg yolk...all together...mmm spending morning time in bed with mama playing with his zany zoo now that he can sit up

For myself… practicing my calligraphy reading great tips for bloggers from here and here listening to the new Leagues album (you should, too!)

For all the mamas & mamas-to-be… reading a helpful guide to avoiding GMOs in your foods pinning cute DIY ideas: candy napkin rings, felt balloon card, &  paper heart wall art sharing a party planning checklist, recipe for mint sun tea, & teensy photo book

Do you celebrate Mardi Gras where you live or have you ever visited somewhere that does? Enjoy the weekend, friends. xoxo.....*holly
